Reading Tea Leaves: What's it all about?

Reading Tea Leaves: What's it all about?

Author: Maxine Friend

tealeavesTasseography (also known as tasseomancy or tealeaf reading) is a divination or fortune-telling method that interprets patterns in tea leaves, coffee grounds, or wine sediments.

I have been performing tealeaf readings for many years, and although I do not charge for this service, it seems to attract quite a bit of attention. I recently partnered with Blenz Coffee and went on a tealeaf reading tour for the month of October. I also had the privilege of reading Mike & Fiona's tealeaves on the television show Urban Rush. I have been asked several questions about this divination technique, and wanted to take this opportunity to share how this works for me.

How do you read tealeaves?

One of my clairvoyant gifts is that I have the ability to channel. Channeling is like watching a memory in your head that does not belong to you. Reading tealeaves is no different. When I look at the leaves in the bottom of the cup, I channel while looking at the leaves. When the picture in my head matches the tealeaves, I know that I am seeing the right picture or symbol. Most of the images I see in the bottom of the teacup come to me in symbols. I am able to translate those symbols to the client and show them the symbol at the bottom of the cup. Many clients are amazed by how clear the symbol is.

Did you read a book or take a course to learn this skill?

The answer is no. Clairvoyance has been in my family for generations and my master reader, Kitty Lloyd used to read tealeaves. I just decided to try it one day and it resonated with me.

Do you ever see things that are bad?

The answer again here is no. Nothing is written in stone with readings of any kind. It's not an oracle! Everyone has the power and alter the route of their lives just by setting that intent. I may warn you to watch for something, but I have never foreseen something horrible that cannot be avoided. Getting your tea leaves read or having a reading should never be an unpleasant experience.

I hope this clarifies some of the questions many of you were asking. Come check out what a tealeaf reading is all about. Book any of my services and receive a tealeaf reading: free of charge.
